[06 dic 2005] 1.4.4 after a few emails on "disappearing windows" under xinerama + stock sawfish combination, it seems my version solves the problem:

after years, I start to use the `custom' system (to config my packages via GUI). I was stuck b/c unable to restore the configurability for viewport-dimensions until (a month ago, while making the gauche-based replacement for sawfish-ui) I discovered that some variables not only lost their defcustom definition, but were explicitely banned (to phase-out the value in the users' custom files) ... in sawfish.wm.util.compat
